Purpose Of The Job

It also provides health education, which reduces the possibility of contracting diseases by providing risk-based medical surveillance of everyone in the company, including contractors and employees to ensure a healthy and safe workforce and reduce the risk to the business.

Qualifications And Requirements

• NQF Level 6 Diploma in General Nursing / Occupational Health.
• The registration through the South African Nursing Council will provide an additional benefit.
• Basic knowledge of nursing as well as primary health care and the screening for health i.e. audiometry and spirometry.
• Experience with Occupational related laws.
• Solid analytical ability, interpersonal, problem solving and communication skills are vital.
• Medically fit for BMR and or PMR.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Successful successful completion of a planned 24 (24) years intern training program which can increase your general understanding regarding the PGM industry and expose you to health care in the primary setting and occupational diseases, medical surveillance etc.
• to provide health-related education and lifestyle issues for employees and contractors.
• Assist with the medical surveillance programs, routine, annual and pre-employment medicals.
• Provide health services for primary care and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team from outside.
