The candidate selected will be responsible to mix and serve drinks, snacks or food directly or via waiters. Assure exceptional customer service, and ensure that the service area is clean and tidy.

What You’ll Do For The Brand
- Make sure uniforms and dress codes are followed. You are the face and voice of your company, so you need to look professional.
- Make sure the bar area is clean and tidy before opening. To ensure the area is always neat and tidy, maintain the same standard during service hours. Before customers are seated, ensure that the service area has been cleaned. On the service area, there should not be any empty beverage containers, cutlery, or excess crockery. Bar equipment, glasses and utensils should be clean. Condiments such as water, ice and straws, etc. Refills are made
- Stock requisition should be prepared the night before, but not later than one hour before opening. Take into consideration trends and busy periods or events that may increase the stock requirement. Sign and submit to F&B supervisor. Receive stock from F&B supervisor as per the requisition. Make sure that the opening stock is recorded
- Stock fridges and rotate stock at all times.
- Ensure Floats are correct. If there is a shortfall, inform the F&B supervisor before opening.
- Always be proactive and positive when greeting customers and guests. Show interest in the customer/punter. Pay attention to what they say and maintain eye-contact during conversations.
- Answer questions from customers/punters about the menu. On request, provide advice on the daily specials. Promote food and beverages.
- Address the customer with respect and communicate in a professional and clear manner. Orders should be served promptly, whether it is drinks or snacks. Make sure customers are happy with their drinks and/or food and correct any problems.
- As soon as the client/punter sits down, take their beverage or food order. Beverage orders must be taken within 5 minutes of the menu being presented. If requested, food/snack orders are taken. Check the customers’ identification to verify that they are of legal drinking age.
- Order slips are used to record orders. Enter the order immediately after receiving it on POS (GAAP). This will ensure that the order is generated.
- Following up on any food delays in the kitchen. Informing customers/punters of delays. Regularly communicating the status.
- Make sure that all complaints from customers/ punters are handled efficiently. All complaints should be recorded in the complaint book and reported to the supervisor
- Cash or credit card payments are accepted. Record the payment correctly. The customer/punter should be thanked for their tip. The F&B supervisor must approve any voids.
- All sales, cash payments and credit card payments are reconciled to ensure all money is accounted for. Shortages will also be handled accordingly. You are responsible for the sales that you record under your account. Print generic stock sheets with the actual stock counts and codes. Sign next to any changes made with F&B supervisor. F&B supervisor should be informed of all damage and waste.
- Verify that the supervisor of F&B signs off on all purchases made for personal use. Make sure that VIP security receives the slip signed for the purchase before leaving the premises.
- As you prepare for the next shift, ensure that the service area has been cleaned and is tidy.
- Make sure that all internal procedures are followed.
