Job Description

• Responsible for preparing, verifying and archiving accounting records.
• Implements accounting procedures as well as systems and controls for the product.
• Offers a commentary on financial results and its implications and recommends corrective action to take.
• Generates financial information.
• Reports and analyses on variations.

Governance and Compliance

• Responsible for compliance and governance at the operational level.
• Maintains suitable financial control environment.
• Examine the effectiveness of controls and determine and apply any additional controls needed.
• Responsible for liaison with audits in accordance with the tax, legislative and statutory requirements. They also provide input to an audit procedure.

Role Minimum Requirements

• NQF Level 7 – Degree, Advance Diploma or Postgraduate Certificate or equivalent
• Financial Tertiary Education (B. Com., B.Compt., etc.) that has at least 5 years of relevant experience, most preferably in a banking or financial service environment.
• Articles are beneficial.
• Self-starter, action orientation swift, quick-witted and impulsive.
• The ability to perform under stress.
• Excellent analytical and interpretive abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
• Written and verbal communication skills.
