Job Description

You will be responsible for the following:

• Alignment with Group Scheduling Standards is essential for each phase. (Definition of what’s required from an estimate perspective).
• Alignment with other important elements/parties is essential, such as engineering, procurement and construction, commissioning of the project.
• Create a schedule for every stage of your project.
• Validate/provide benchmarks for durations.
• Coordinate with the project team and all stakeholders to determine schedule requirements. (Accuracy, sequencing and level of decomposition).
• Use critical path and critical chains methods when creating the schedule.
• Assess the risks of critical paths and develop treatment measures, including contingency plans, to achieve required levels of confidence.
• Earned value principles can be used to track and graph progress (on site).
• Set up the required interface (human and technological) to align all contractor schedules on the Master Schedule.
• Identify any conflicts in schedule, resources, or time constraints and inform the (Senior Project Manager).
• Early detection of variance.
• Analyse and interpret the root cause(s).
• Review all options for recovery and resolving the problem.
• Change/s can be made through a formal process.
• Estimate the impact of remedial and recovery measures and adjust your schedule accordingly.
• Testing the data collection process on-site.
• Effective communication (focusing on the audience) of critical messages.

Qualifications

• Grade 12
• National Diploma (NQF6) Project Management and Planning
• SA Drivers License
