Plant Manager Vacancies Description

Lactalis Vacancies Requirement

• Minimum 10 years experience in plant management and operations, ideally with Dairy FMCG
• Knowledge of dairy/yoghurt is essential in structures with a flat or small management structure. The Plant Manager must make daily decisions about specific products.
• B.Sc. Degree plus experience in production, or B.Com. Degree in food science or B. Eng. Degree plus general management experience
• Motivate people to help your business by being a leader
• Experience and knowledge of all plant business units

Duties & Responsibilities

• Improve the autonomy of production to improve operations.
• Manage production with TPM
• Train and onboard new staff
• Review and collect data to reduce waste and inefficiencies with clear improvement measures
• Create reports and analyze data to be presented to executives about processes
• Give feedback on employees’ performance and make suggestions for improvements
• Monitor work schedules for coverage
  Safety checks should be performed on all equipment
• Prepare annual budget (costs and capital) in accordance with company system requirements
• Compile, forecast and control the annual budget according to labour efficiency standards
• Monthly report on budget compliance
• Minimise raw material costs and waste
  Reduce costs on packaging and product
• Optimize fixed and overhead costs, including labour and energy, against forecast demand and production requirements
  Monitor systems for accuracy
• Maintain plant equipment properly
• Create plans to address all production elements and identify systemic variables that are affecting production efficiency.
