Job Summary
Managing moderately complex to highly complex programs consisting of several related projects. Oversee major projects and provide strategic context, leadership, and direction to teams. Monitor project execution plans, resources deployment, and coordination efforts in order to ensure that projects are completed within budget, on time, and within scope, while adhering the quality and governance standard defined by the project delivery framework.
Key Accountabilities
- Project Management
Project management is the process of managing projects. It involves (but is not limited to) the implementation of business processes that meet business needs. This includes acquiring the required resources and skills and utilizing them within the agreed parameters for cost, timelines, and quality.
- Change management, implementation and planning
Apply Agile methodologies in order to manage the entire lifecycle of a project.
- Stakeholder Relationship Management
The coordination of relationships between and with key stakeholders during the design, implementation and management of business changes. Listen to and support teams as they identify and make decisions about problems Create an atmosphere of mutual influence
Education and experience required
- Bachelor degree (NQF 7 in project management, commerce or business).
- Professional accreditation in project and/or programme management (SAFe Agile Certified PMP).
- At least 8 years of experience in the implementation and management of complex financial services projects (banking environment is preferred).
Knowledge and skills
- Solid direct knowledge of project management methods
- Proven project management and change management expertise and skills
- Experience of managing activities across the entire project lifecycle using modern technology, structured methodologies and a quality management process (SAFe Agile or PMBOK).
- Exposure to governance, risk management and control
- Proven ability to work effectively across teams and at all levels
- Ability to influence/negotiate at senior level
- Communication skills – verbal, written and interpersonal
- Good workshop and meeting facilitation abilities
- Good financial business case skills
