Description

Amazon is seeking a Team Lead who will manage Amazon Vendor Services within one or more Product Families. Amazon Vendor Services is a set of services that are designed to help Amazon’s most strategic vendors deliver the best possible customer experience. The service is primarily delivered by AVS specialists assigned to specific vendors. Amazon has a vision of the future for this service. It focuses on the business impact vendors and categories have, operational scalability, and vendor satisfaction. You will be the Team Leader and responsible for delivering impact to a strategic group of vendors through an AVS Specialist who reports to you. You will have to ensure that you deliver on the commitment we made to vendors to improve their performance in key retail metrics. You will work closely with Vendor managers to define goals and objectives that are appropriate for your vendors.
You will also be expected to make continuous improvements and innovations within the service. You must be highly analytical, resourceful, and customer-focused. You need to have a proven track record of delivering results in fast-paced and dynamic business environments while managing the sometimes-conflicting needs of different groups of stakeholders.

Key job responsibilities

  • Own the relationship with most important vendors who subscribe to AVS (through AVS specialist).
  • Manage a group of Brand Specialists who own the joint business plans of a large pool vendors in order to achieve significant business impact
  • Regularly audit metrics to continuously drive quality of employee and vendor experience across subcategories
  • Drive productivity in your team by working with AVS experts to adopt tools and offshore processes.
  • Define skills needed to support vendors in specific areas of concern and opportunity
  • Allocating resources to vendors and developing the skills of the team. Growing and developing people into a talent base for Amazon
  • Delivering business results through teamwork
  • Deliver high-impact projects that directly impact the AVS strategy, success metrics and Amazon
  • Prepare the team to be able to move into future roles such as AVS management, VM roles, or global roles

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ Years of Account Management, Project or Program Management or Buying Experience – 3+ Years of Market Research Analyst, Product Manager, or Equivalent Experience
  • 4+ years of doing one of several roles: quantitative/financial analysis, retail buying, retail planning & allocation, product/project management, pricing, marketing or e-commerce experience
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience in fostering internal team collaboration
  • People management experience
