About Wits
CHP is part of the School of Public Health at Wits. It supports young researchers and focuses on health fairness. The team works on health systems, access to care, and real-world research.
Who Should Apply
To apply as a pre-PhD intern, candidates must:
- Have a relevant master’s degree in public health, sociology, economics, political science, or similar.
- Be 32 years or younger by November 2026.
- Have some background in qualitative or quantitative research.
- Be passionate about health equity and social justice.
To apply as a Post-Doctoral Fellow, candidates must:
- Already hold a PhD in a related field.
- Be ready to lead studies and publish work in health systems research.
In both roles, strong writing and conceptual skills are key. Being able to work in a multi-disciplinary team is important. Knowing local languages is a bonus.
