Requirements

  • 3 years of relevant tertiary education with preference for auditing or internal auditor as major.
  • Minimum 2-5 years audit experience required Experience in Internal Audit, Data Analytics and Continuous Audit would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of MS Office applications
  • Working knowledge of or exposure to Audit Electronic Working Paper Software Solution, e.g. BarnOwl is an advantage
  • Experience with Data Analytic Software Solution, e.g. ACL/ Arbutus would add to the advantage
  • The completion of IIA Learnerships and/or certifications such as CISA, CRISK or CGEIT in Information Systems Security, or other related professional designations, with IIA learnerships completed, would be an advantage.

Key Performance Areas

  • Internal auditing activities must be performed in accordance with applicable legislation, policies and regulations, frameworks (e.g. IPPF), standards, guidelines, and other relevant documents. IPPF and guidelines
  • Under the supervision of an experienced Senior auditor, perform professional auditing work in accordance with norms and standards.
  • Compiling and completing the audit plan, including a system description.
  • Recognize and evaluate fraud types, fraud risks, and red flags of fraud
  • Identify the types of controls, and evaluate the system of internal control e.g. Assess the system’s effectiveness, efficiency and adequacy and look for any weaknesses.
  • Document your analytical procedures, and utilize electronic auditing techniques.
  • Discuss and raise any issues or interim findings that you have identified.
