Job Description

Senwes Equipment seeks a dynamic Junior Accounting to assist the Finance Team in collecting, reviewing, analysing and reporting financial data monthly and annually, assuring accurate financial management and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Examine expenses to check for errors in GL and cost allocating.
• Report variances in budget.
• Corrective journals can be processed as required.
• Manage asset transactions – purchases, disposals and write-offs.
• Consolidate the Fixed Asset Register with the General Ledger.
• Handle departmental financial queries.
• Verify payments made to external vendors.
• Process the month-end journal and clear balance sheet accounts.
• Create SAP financial reports, and distribute them accordingly.
• Requests for external financial data.
• Prepare monthly reconciliations of the balance sheets.
• Handle any ad-hoc requests or inquiries about finances from the management.

Job Requirements

• Completed articles with relevant BCom degree
• Minimum of 1 year relevant accounting experience
• SAP Proficiency
• Caseware is a good example of this.
• Strong MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Strong analytical, planning and organisational skills with strong computer application.
• Communication and interpersonal skills are excellent.
• Demonstrates accountability and initiative.
• Work well as a member of a team, and maintains integrity at all time.
