Who Can Apply?
This opportunity is only for those living in these host communities: Bekkersdaal, Zuurberkom, Thusanang, Hillshaven, Westonaria, Poortjie, Simunye, Kalbasfontein or Jachtfontein. You’ll need a Grade 12 pass with Maths and Science. You also must have an N3 qualification with Engineering Maths, Engineering Science, Electrical Trade Theory, and Industrial Electronics.
You also need to be medically fit, pass a Heat Tolerance Test, and attach all required certificates to your CV. Without those, your application won’t move forward.

What Will You Learn and Do?
During the learnership, you’ll be trained as an Electrician. You’ll take part in hands-on training, attend short courses, and learn safety rules. You must wear the right PPE, attend developmental discussions, and stay aligned with South Deep’s values: safety, respect, integrity, responsibility, collaboration, and innovation.
