Job Summary

Payroll and client services to Lancet employees in a timely and accurate manner, including the recording and reporting of information.

Minimum Criteria Required

  • Grade 12 or relevant NQF level 4 qualification
  • Payroll certificate/diploma advantageous

Experience

  • Experience with Sage 300 People Payroll System for at least 2-3 years.

Key Performance Areas

  • The system receives and records input in order to ensure accurate and lawful deductions are made.
  • It captures new appointments, promotions and terminations as well as other remunerations benefits and garnishees according to standard operating procedures.
  • Completing UIF documents and distributing them
  • Distribution of IRP5s for terminated employees
  • Organizing departmental meetings, including managing minutes
  • All AX/D365 tasks are handled
  • Run/distribute departmental timesheets (DHR clock in web reports system).
  • Reconciliation and balancing of medical aid/Provident fund and other third party schedules.
  • Calculate, balance, and reconcile the adhoc deduction schedules.
  • Monthly reports are distributed
  • Performs all payroll functions on smaller payroll entities (capturing, reconciliation and balancing).
  • Answers payroll-related queries via telephone, email and HR system. Reprinting payslips (personal details changes, maternity leaves, bank detail updates, salary deductions, garnishees, medical aid queries, etc.) is one of the many queries that can be resolved by the HR system, via e-mail, or over the phone.
