Chemical Process Operator Learnership Description

• Assist the Plant Operator(s).
• Follow all reasonable instructions given by the Production Team Leader.
• To perform ad hoc duties.

Required outputs for Learnership

• NQF Unit Standard Plant Operation Training
• Fill and empty drums, bags and bulk containers.
• Bulk bags/raw material, bulk liquid chemicals.
• All plant areas should be cleaned regularly.
• Under the supervision of an experienced plant operator, operate your plant.
• Complete all required production and processing documentation
• Once declared competent, you can monitor and manage your plant independently.
• Work safely in heights or confined spaces, as required.
• Maintain medical fitness in order to perform duties at a chemical plant (working in heights and confined spaces).
• Be willing to and capable of undergoing forklift training.
• Ability to work overtime and shifts as required.

Chemical Process Operator Learnership Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 12 Math and Physics with Math is required
• Basic computer skills. (Data entry, basic MS Office).
• The applicant must be aged between 18 and 25.
