Operator Position Purpose

This post holder is responsible for producing CAD drawings from sketches, provided specifications, or the incumbent’s own measurements and sketches of the site/equipment. In addition, the incumbent is responsible for managing Document Control and Electronic Document Management System. This includes uploading data, testing accuracy, and correcting errors. Other responsibilities include: Marking up completed crossings; utilization of Drawing Offices computers and software; plan printers and plotters.

Qualifications and Experience

• You must have at least a Grade 12 and above average computer skills.
• Your experience and aptitude in the technical and drawing environment is also required.
• Must have the ability to read, speak and write in English.
• Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD and other CAD systems.
• Ability to understand and read engineering drawings & specifications.
• Proficient written & verbal communication skills.

Competencies
