Job Advert Summary

The Rand Water Graduating Development Programme is a structured sector-specific initiative that aims to prepare the future generation of professionals to support the goal sustainability in water and environmental management. The programme will put students in a stimulating setting, empowering the graduates with skills relevant to industry and that are aligned with Occupationally Directed Education, Training, and Development Practices (ODETDP).Graduates will receive education and mentoring in the following areas of focus:

• Freshwater Aquatic Sciences
• Water Technology
• Wastewater Technology
• Digital Technology, Innovation and Through practical training in fieldwork, laboratory activities, the use of digital tools as well as practical research. The program is designed to enable participants to make a significant contribution to the sector of water. In the end, graduates will be trained to lead important areas of technical expertise within the Rand Water Academy Technical School and will help the Academy achieve its long-term strategy of technical leadership and ingenuity.

Minimum Requirements

• Candidates must have a Master’s degree (NQF level 9) in one of the following areas: Engineering : MEng, MSc, in Chemical, Civil or Environmental Engineering
• Unemployed and without prior experience in the relevant qualification
• South African Citizen with valid South African ID
• Under 35 years of age, as per the National Skills Development Strategy III
• Have a valid Code 08 Driver’s License (advantageous).
