Senior Manager Position Objective

Provide leadership and guidance in the areas strategic sourcing, a strategic governance structure, and strategic procurement with the goal of ensuring fairness, equity, transparency, and cost-effective purchasing, while complying with all laws and regulation.

SANRAL Vacancies Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor degree in Engineering, Supply chain, Logistics, Commerce, Business or Legal (NQF level 7).
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in Supply Chain Management Department, including at least 3 years management.

Technical Competencies

• Knowledge and understanding of B-BBEE and its supporting legislation, with a focus on Enterprise and Supplier Development.
• Knowledge and understanding of Standard for Infrastructure Procurement and Delivery Management and Framework for Infrastructure Procurement and Delivery Management.
• Understanding of additional legal requirements for public sector supply chains, such as PPPFA regulations and Treasury regulations.
• Knowledge of construction and infrastructure regulations, and how to work with construction contractors, CIDB, and other industry organizations.
• Ability to develop realistic implementation plans and sub-sector strategies for transformation.
• Project management The process of initiating, planning and executing a project, as well as controlling and closing it, to meet specific goals, while meeting specific success criteria, within a specified time frame.
