A qualified Artisan diesel Mechanic is needed at the Phenduka Depot in Western Cape to inspect, service, and maintain a fleet busses. For more information on the position, please review the below minimum requirements and duties.
Minimum Requirements
- Matricule – grade 12,
- Qualified Artist (Trade test) with at least 5 years of experience
- Experience working in the transport and logistics environment.
- General administrative duties,
- Available to work weekends, public holidays and shifts.
- Solid knowledge of servicing and maintaining buses
- Valid Driver’s License
- Owning a vehicle is required
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide services for buses
- Repairs on the fleet and attend to any breakdowns.
- Check that all services are performed according to the checklists.
- The manager is notified when repairs are needed and the breakdown is diagnosed.
- Make sure that the vehicles are maintained in accordance with legal requirements, according to company policies and procedures.
- Follow the Health and Safety regulations and rules when performing a repair/service or attending to a breakdown/accident.
- Take all necessary safety precautions at all times
