Accountant Job description

• Moderate all General Ledger Accounts by GAAP principles and WW financial principles
• All accounts must be reconciled in detail and include detailed provisioning.
• Manage all required system interventions to administer all payments, e.g., prelim reports
• Deliver the trial balance promptly, with all the details as necessary for management reporting.
• To substantiate the values on the balance sheet, ensure that the sub-ledgers comply with the auditing standards.
• Assure the proper functioning of EFT payments, including access control/accuracy / valid of payments
• Prepare timely management reports by best practices.
• Maintain integrity and control of Master Data Maintenance, including suppliers’ terms, banking information, etc.
• As soon as you notice any issues, address them.

Woolworths Vacancies Requirements

• B.Tech / B. Comm / 3-year finance diploma or equivalent
• 3 year Experience in Accounting.
• Understanding of GAAP/WW Financial Principles and a sound knowledge of accounting processes
• Ability to apply accounting knowledge and solve problems within an extensive integrated system with a complex IT-driven accounting environment that processes a high volume of financial transactions.
•  Able to effectively use Excel and the Walker financial system
