We are looking for 50 Betting clerks who will be based in Durban on a Casual basis for a set period. Are you the next Purple Star?
The candidate selected will be responsible for the management of the branch, including taking bets from customers, increasing stakes, and managing cash. They will also be responsible for customer service, compliance, payouts, and customer service.

- Valid Driver’s License
- Relevant Diploma/Degree qualification.
- Experience in the gaming industry of 1-2 years.
What You’ll Do For The Brand
Branch Operations
- Manage and update betting board.
- Verify that all memos, changes to cards, results and scratchings are accurate.
- Know all the rules and payouts for betting.
- Consult the BSC office or Events Office to confirm limits before placing large bets.
Sales Administration
- To minimize fraud or theft, manage cash flow and follow defined procedures.
- Alert yourself to any fraudulent activity and act immediately.
Cash Management
- Make sure you have accurate floats at the beginning of your shift.
- Check your cash balances at regular intervals and make sure that any shortages or excesses are accurately recorded.
Branch Appearance
- Keep the branch clean and organized according to Hollywood standards.
- Report any equipment malfunctions immediately.
Customer Service
- Provide excellent customer service and ensure that customers feel valued.
