Description for Supervisor Position

We’re looking for an skilled supervisor to oversee and ensure that the production of quality equipment is done and delivered according to specifications of the customer.

As a Supervisor, you will be responsible for

• To supervise and lead team members and ensure the supervision of employees.* Facilitate employee relations, timekeeping, and disciplinarian issues.
• Avoid any dangerous behavior by ensuring that you are aware and supervise your children.
• Control the levels of fertilizer, and make sure that the plants are properly watered.
• Verify for pests on every crop and implement appropriate measures to control them at the right time.
• Ensure that weeds are managed in a timely manner before they impact the growth of the plant.
• Submit PQI details and make sure that the approval has been obtained before dispatch.
• Keep standards up to date through proper selection and sorting the seedslings.
• Enter information from PQI into Sappi PQI Database.
• Weekly report on the despatch process and expanding sections. This includes security

What are we looking for?

• Grade 12 and/or NQF level 4 certification as an Supervisor
• Minimum two years’ experience working in a Nursery / Manufacturing / Forestry environment
• Experience in Supervisory is essential.
• The fundamental computer skills are vital.
