Responsibilities and Duties
- Assist in preparing audit plan and conducting audits
- Analyse and collect operational and financial information
- Assist in identifying risks and assessing internal controls
- Be sure to be aware of and comply with the company’s policies and regulations
- Assist in the writing of audit reports
- Keep accurate and organized audit records that are accurate and organised
- Help to spot any indication of fraud or irregularities.
- Assist investigations and document findings
- Keep up-to-date on the latest audit practices and standards.
- Participate in training and offer suggestions for improvement suggestions for the process
Qualifications and Skills
- Matric / Grade 12
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma accounting, Internal Auditing, Finance or an equivalent field (advantageous)
- In the process of studying towards or planning to obtain a professional certificate (e.g. CIA, CISA, SAICA or SAIPA) (advantageous)
- A background in Internal Audit area (advantageous)
- Expert with MS Office suite
- Good communication skills
- The commitment to ethical conduct and the protection of confidentiality
- A keen eye for detail
- Skills for problem-solving and analytical thinking.
- Thinking critically
- Bilingual (Afrikaans and English)
- Valid Driver’s License (Code 08)
